Isaiah Thomas plays in Game 1 vs. Wizards following sister's funeral
Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas played in Sunday's Game 1 versus the Washington Wizards after attending his sister's funeral this weekend.
Thomas' sister, Chyna, was killed in a car crash earlier this month.
The 28-year-old returned to Boston late Saturday night after traveling to Tacoma, Wash., following Friday's series-clinching win over the Chicago Bulls to attend Chyna's memorial service, according to Jay King of MassLive.com.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens praised Thomas prior to Sunday's contest for continuing to play at a high level following the loss of Chyna.
"He's been through a lot. And he continues to amaze us when he's on the court with his resolve and his ability to just kinda be, as he's called it, his sanctuary" Stevens told ESPN's Chris Forsberg.
The two-time All-Star averaged 23 points, 5.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and a steal on 43 percent shooting for the Celtics in their first-round matchup.
