Rivers: Clippers have been 'reading our obituary for 3 months now'
With the Los Angeles Clippers officially eliminated from the NBA playoffs after a loss in Game 7 to the Utah Jazz on Sunday, the task of bringing the band back together now falls on head coach and president of basketball operations, Doc Rivers.
The roster could look dramatically different in 2017-18, with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and J.J. Redick all eligible to walk in free agency this summer
Rivers on Sunday wasn't yet ready to talk about what lies ahead for him over these next few months, but did acknowledge that the demise of his current core of players has been discussed in the media for quite some time.

"I'm thinking about the loss today, instead of the summer," said Rivers. "I'm sure everyone will have their suggestions. We've been reading about our obituary for about three months now."
The Clippers have won 51 or more games each of the past five seasons, but have three early exits in the opening round and zero appearances in the Western Conference Finals to show for it.
