Report: LaVar Ball pitching $200 Lonzo signature sneaker
LaVar Ball doesn't yet have an endorsement deal for his kids, but he does have dreams.
Ball is pitching prospective suitors on a signature sneaker for his son, Lonzo, who is projected to be a top-three pick in the upcoming NBA draft.
LaVar is targeting the $200-tier for Lonzo's first basketball sneaker, sources told Nick DePaula of The Vertical. That price point exceeds the signature sneakers of notable superstars like Kyrie Irving, Paul George, James Harden, and Stephen Curry.
The Big Baller Brand, under LaVar's control, remains firm on its plans to co-partner with sneaker brands. The plan is to have the partnering company produce shoes while licencing BBB.
Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour were not receptive to this pitch, hence why LaVar's company is now reaching out to Chinese companies Anta, Li-Ning, and Peak.
