Jazz fans are hoping their All-Star small forward returns to Salt Lake City next season.
Gordon Hayward received a warm farewell as he exited Monday's Game 4 defeat to the Golden State Warriors, having his name chanted by the Vivint Smart Home Arena crowd late in the fourth quarter.
Hayward can become an unrestricted free agent on Jul. 1 should he decline his $16.7-million player option this offseason.
Hayward was terrific for the Jazz throughout the regular season, averaging 21.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and a steal on 47.1 percent shooting.
