Rondo: Bulls would've swept Celtics if I didn't get injured
Rajon Rondo believes the Chicago Bulls' first-round matchup would've ended a lot differently had he managed to stay healthy for the entire series.
Rondo - who missed the final four games of the first round with a fractured thumb - thinks Chicago would've not only beat the Boston Celtics if he didn't get injured, but would've won handily.
"Honestly, yeah," Rondo said Monday on "Inside the NBA," when asked if he thought Chicago would've swept the Celtics.
After an up-and-down regular season, Rondo came alive early in the first round, averaging 11.5 points, 10 assists, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals on 42.3 percent shooting in back-to-back wins.
"It was very frustrating, especially the way we were clicking at the time," Rondo said. "We had a good chemistry going and I thought we were making some great adjustments in Games 1 and 2."
With Rondo out of the lineup, the Bulls struggled to find any rhythm on offense, dropping the final four games to the No. 1-seeded Celtics.
