Zaza Pachulia's questionable tactics in Game 1 have quickly put the spotlight on closeouts in the Western Conference finals.
While not nearly as serious as Pachulia's closeout, LaMarcus Aldridge was involved in a similar play Tuesday, stepping under Kevin Durant in the second quarter and causing the former MVP to land on his foot.
Durant downplayed the incident following the contest, explaining that big men aren't used to defending on the perimeter.
"It's part of the game. It's been happening forever, since I've been in the league" Durant told reporters. "I think bigs just try to contest shots and sometimes that stuff may happen, but it's not on purpose at all."
