Ray Allen urges NBA to bring team back to Seattle

The NBA's all-time leading 3-point shooter wants to see a team back in the city he spent five seasons of his career competing in.

Ray Allen still has a soft spot for Seattle, taking to Instagram on Wednesday to urge fans and the league itself to help move the (space) needle toward bringing a franchise back to the Emerald City.

The 41-year-old was traded from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Seattle SuperSonics during the 2002-03 campaign, suiting up for 296 games with the organization and averaging 24.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 39.4 minutes.

The Sonics' inaugural season was in 1967-68 and they won their first and only championship over a decade later in 1979 by beating the Washington Bullets in five games.

They moved to Oklahoma City in 2008 and were renamed the Thunder.
