Lue assesses rolling Warriors: 'They're the best I've ever seen'

Tyronn Lue coached against - and beat - a 73-win Golden State team in last year's NBA Finals after losing Game 1 and falling into a 3-1 hole, but the head coach of the defending champs sounded a lot more impressed by this year's iteration of the Warriors after dropping another Game 1 on Thursday.

"They're the best I've ever seen," Lue said when asked how well the Warriors are playing right now.

"No other team has done this," Lue added. "They constantly break records every year - last year being 73-9, this year starting the playoffs 13-0. So they're playing good basketball."

Lue did add one important caveat, however.

"But we can play better."

The issue for Lue's Cavs is that the Warriors likely feel the same way. While they cruised to a 113-91 victory on Thursday, they did so while Klay Thompson and Draymond Green combined to shoot just 6-of-28, and the team as a whole shot less than 69 percent from the free-throw line.

To Lue's point, however, it's unlikely the Warriors will have the benefit of eight LeBron James turnovers or 20 Cavs turnovers very often.
