Watch: Kenyon Martin recalls nearly fighting J.R. Smith over popcorn prank
One of the NBA's go-to pranks is filling players' cars with popcorn. Most just laugh it off, but Kenyon Martin was ready to throw down when then-Denver Nuggets teammate J.R. Smith and a ball boy pulled the prank on him.
Martin gave his version of the infamous popcorn incident during a recent appearance on ESPN's "Highly Questionable," recalling how the Nuggets begged him not to go to Smith's house to fight him. He also spoke about the verbal lashing he gave the ball boy.
"I tell the boy boy, Laquan - and I told the team - 'He's not allowed to come back to the gym. If he come back to the gym, I'mma slap him on site," Martin said. "And I told him, 'Listen, if you see me around Denver, Colorado, anywhere, you better leave.'"
