Report: Bucks looking at Stefanski, others for GM role
The Milwaukee Bucks have asked for permission to interview names like Ed Stefanski, Wes Wilcox, Pete Dinwiddie, and Arturas Karsinovas for their vacant general manager role, sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Stefanski is the current vice president of player personnel for the Memphis Grizzlies and is expected to receive strong consideration for the job, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Former NBA general manager and league executive Rod Thorn is leading the search for John Hammond's replacement after he left the Bucks for the Orlando Magic earlier this month.
Stefanski previously worked for the Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors under Bryan Colangelo. He was also the Nets' GM at one time, reporting to Thorn while current Bucks head coach Jason Kidd was a player.
Wilcox was recently reassigned from Atlanta Hawks GM to another position within the organization. Dinwiddie is with the Indiana Pacers and Karsinovas works for the Denver Nuggets.
