Trail Blazers' McCollum studying at Harvard Business School
C.J. McCollum is once again spending the NBA offseason trying to further his education.
The Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard is taking a course at Harvard Business School called "The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports" with some other famous folks.
His peers include actress Katie Holmes, Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique, and Ireland rugby star Jamie Heaslip. They'll learn how to develop, manage, and promote a "successful entertainment offering."
McCollum, who earned a journalism degree from Lehigh University, interned at The Players' Tribune last summer. The rising media star hosts weekly radio shows during the regular season and launched a high school journalism program in 2016.
He's not the first NBA player to take the course at Harvard, as Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul and San Antonio Spurs big man Pau Gasol completed it last summer.
