Report: Iman Shumpert needed IV for cramps after Game 2

Game 2 proved to be a particularly painful experience for one member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Iman Shumpert received intravenous fluids after Sunday's lopsided loss to the Golden State Warriors, sources told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

He logged 22 minutes and recorded six points and three steals before checking out with six minutes left in the fourth.

Shumpert had the unenviable job of coming off the bench to guard Kevin Durant. His tenacious on-ball defense was meant as a change in style as compared to LeBron James, who drew the primary assignment on Golden State's unstoppable forward.

The burden might get even heavier for Shumpert going forward. With J.R. Smith proving ineffective in the first two games, sources told McMenamin that Shumpert might grab the starting spot at shooting guard.
