Report: Bucks narrow GM search down to 3 candidates
The Milwaukee Bucks' search for a new general manager is slowly winding down, with the pool of candidates now cut to just three names.
After a series of interviews in New York, former Atlanta Hawks GM Wes Wilcox, Denver Nuggets assistant GM Arturas Karnisovas, and Bucks assistant GM Justin Zanik have emerged as the top choices, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Now a special adviser for the Hawks, Wilcox had served as GM since 2015 after replacing Danny Ferry, but resigned last May following a disappointing 43-39 season and subsequent first-round exit.
Karnisovas was up for consideration for GM with the Brooklyn Nets last year before losing out to Sean Marks. He previously worked in the league office, as well as with the Houston Rockets, before arriving in the Mile-High City.
Zanik is currently in an interim role with Milwaukee after former GM John Hammond elected to join the Orlando Magic.
Other names that have previously been linked to the job include David Griffin, Pat Garrity, Adam Simon, Bill Branch, and Becky Hammon.
