Metta World Peace drops rap album
If Metta World Peace decides to step away from the game at age 37, he can always fall back on his long-time interest in music. And he'll continue to ball out just the same.
The 17-year NBA veteran and one-time NBA champion released a 12-song rap album entitled "Where We At" on Sunday. It's chock full of references to former teammates and playing days as well as his "thoughts as a youngin'" growing up in the Big Apple.
On the track "Just Ball," World Peace gives some insight into his current status as a player:
Just because it seems I retired from the ball doesn't mean homie ain't balling no more. Coming from New York, dog, all we do is ball. Popping all these bottles, not retired, I just ball.
This isn't his first foray into the music industry. World Peace, then known as Ron Artest, released his first album, "My World," in 2006 while playing for the Sacramento Kings.
