Curry: 3rd Finals meeting of Cavs, Warriors 'great for league'
The history that's being created between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors is evident to everyone watching this year's Finals. As for the players at the center of the main event, Stephen Curry is on board with how good this third straight Finals matchup is for everyone.
"I think it's great for the league what's going on right now, for sure," the Warriors star told reporters Sunday. "There are great storylines you can follow all year, and for us to be back in this situation - this is the third time - the level of competition and intensity in the Finals, it's unbelievable."
Curry was queried on whether he hoped the Cavaliers' core players would be sticking together for the foreseeable future – the same way the Warriors are poised to continue on with their main pieces – so that the two sides would keep meeting like this.
"Especially when you have that history with the opposing team," he said, referring to Cleveland. "We would love to be in the Finals every year, I'm sure they would love to be in the Finals every year and the back and forth. A lot of things happen in the league that you can't really predict but that would be good for everybody involved."
