LeBron: 'I don't believe I've played for a super team'

The man who will likely be remembered as one of the pioneers behind the NBA's growing trend of assembling "super teams" doesn't believe he's ever been a part of one.

Talking with the media after the Cleveland Cavaliers' Game 5 loss to the Golden State Warriors that put an end to this year's NBA Finals, LeBron James was asked whether the aforementioned concept is good for the league:

"I don't believe I've played for a super team. I don't believe in that," James said, denying that the current Cavaliers or his former Miami Heat squad should be defined as such.

The 2010-11 Heat signed James and Chris Bosh, and re-signed Dwyane Wade, jump-starting a four-year run that resulted in four straight trips to the Finals and two title wins. The current Cavaliers roster features multiple-time All-Stars in Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, and has now advanced to the Finals in all three seasons since James returned.
