Warriors are the highest title favorites in any sport heading into 2018
The Golden State Warriors have some overwhelming odds in their favor to capture a third title in four seasons.
Las Vegas bookmakers have the 2017 champions as the odds-on favorite at -200 to repeat in 2018, which gives the Warriors an implied probability of 66.7 percent of winning it all.
"They're going to be the highest favorite we've ever had going into a season, any team in any sport," NBA oddsmaker Jeff Sherman of the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, told David Purdum of ESPN.
The Warriors' 2018 title odds jumped from -160 before Game 5, to -200 after Monday's championship-clinching game. Golden State finished the playoffs with a 16-1 record and is slated to have all four of its core star players return for next season.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are the only other team with more than a 10 percent chance at the 2018 championship, according to Vegas.
