Watch: Kyrie cries when he finds out dad saved all his trophies
In trying to surprise his father with a good deed, Kyrie Irving may have received the biggest surprise of all.
The Cleveland Cavaliers star secretly remodeled his father Drederick's house in West Orange, N.J. where Kyrie and his sister Asia grew up.
While showing the finished product to their dad on "My Houzz," Kyrie was overcome with emotion as he saw for the first time the trophy room that Asia designed. It features every award ever won by the three of them, including Kyrie's 2014 All-Star Game MVP award and 2016 championship ring.
"Dad, I didn't know you were keeping all this, everything in here," the All-Star point guard said as he tried to fight back tears (around the 19-minute mark).
The 25-year-old explained: "My dad gave up his dream (of playing basketball professionally) for my sister's dreams and my dreams. He knew that from the beginning. It's incredible to see that he as every single trophy. ...
"This actually really means a lot. Just a lot of memories shared with not only my sister, but with my dad."
Kyrie picked out the kitchen backsplash for his "Super Dad," who was left speechless by the gesture.
