Report: Lakers concerned with how Randle, Russell handle criticism

The Los Angeles Lakers appear to be on their way to a brighter future, but there are still plenty of question marks surrounding their young core.

After struggling to improve upon their 2015-16 campaigns, there is uncertainly among the Lakers organization about how well D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle handle criticism, sources told Bleacher Report's Kevin Ding.

While Los Angeles had hoped that the two would develop into better leaders this season, the Lakers were unimpressed with Russell's professionalism and felt Randle took criticism to heart, according to Ding.

Although the Lakers don't appear to be actively shopping either player, team president Magic Johnson stated last month that Brandon Ingram is regarded as the organization's only untradable player.

Randle averaged 13.2 points and 8.6 rebounds on 48.8 percent shooting, while Russell posted averages of 15.6 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds in 2016-17.
