Report: Celtics interested in trading for Porzingis

With New York Knicks power forward Kristaps Porzingis reportedly available on the trade market, the Boston Celtics are among the teams interested in acquiring the Latvian phenom, sources told Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

The Celtics have a bevy of first-round picks and young assets at their disposal, including the No. 3 pick in this year's draft, which the Knicks could reportedly use to take former Kansas standout Josh Jackson.

Despite Porzingis' tremendous individual success over the past two seasons, the Knicks remain frustrated with the 21-year-old after he opted to skip his exit meeting with the team in April.

The 7-foot-3 power forward averaged 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, two blocks, and 1.5 assists on 45 percent shooting with New York in 2016-17.

Boston is reportedly interested in several other big names in addition to Porzingis, including All-Stars Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler, and Blake Griffin.
