Never underestimate the power of the almighty dollar.
It was reported Tuesday that Chicago Bulls veteran Dwyane Wade had elected to pick up his player option for the 2017-18 season.
When asked about the decision by NBA.com's David Aldridge, Wade simply said he had "24 million reasons" to remain with his hometown squad.
He later tweeted that his 2016-17 numbers were pretty impressive - at age 35, no less - while implying he's more than worthy of the large sum.
18.3 points a game in 29mins on 43% shooting at 35 years old. if I'm 25 with the same numbers I'm getting 150 million 😂 #Fading #petty

Wade's option will pay him $23.8 million, to be exact, as he competes in his 15th NBA season, and his second with the Bulls.
