While it likely had little to do with the Knicks making it through draft night without trading their young Latvian star, this "Don't trade Porzingis" billboard lighting up the New York City sky had to have been at least somewhat intimidating for any Knicks staffers working the phones.
The board, which also read, "We're not affiliated with Porzingis. We just want him to stay," displays the logo of culture brand Cycle.
On the eve of the draft, it was reported that the Knicks were looking to move Porzingis in exchange for a top-four pick, though team president Phil Jackson admitted that the team hadn't been convinced by any offers at the time.
