Report: Warriors have offered Iguodala 3-year, $45M contract
The Golden State Warriors have reportedly offered unrestricted free-agent wing Andre Iguodala a guaranteed three-year, $45-million contract, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.
Iguodala, 33, has averaged 7.9 points, four rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in his four-season tenure with the Warriors. He was named the 2015 Finals MVP and was the runner-up for the Sixth Man of the Year Award for the 2016-17 season, a campaign in which he won his second title with Golden State.
The swingman had been tied to multiple teams heading into free agency, with the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, and Sacramento Kings emerging as candidates to lure Iguodala away.
Ultimately, it appears that Iguodala could be returning for a title defense in the Bay Area, as the Warriors hold his Bird rights and will be able to surpass the salary cap threshold to re-sign the 13-season veteran.
