Report: Mike Scott agrees to 1-year, $1.7M contract with Wizards
Free-agent forward Mike Scott has reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year minimum contract with the Washington Wizards worth $1.7 million, according to USA TODAY's Jeff Zillgitt.
Since coming into the league at the start of the 2012-13 season, Scott has averaged 7.1 points and three rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game as a deep bench option for the Atlanta Hawks.
From 2015-17, Scott also shot 36.6 percent from beyond the 3-point line, suggesting that the 6-foot-8 forward could be used similarly to how Bojan Bogdanovic was deployed down the stretch for the Wizards. They don't call Scott the "Threegional Manager" for nothing.
Despite agreeing to terms with Scott, the Wizards have reportedly not pulled their qualifying offer to restricted free agent Bogdanovic at this time, according to CSN's J. Michael, leaving the door slightly ajar for the Croatian's return to D.C.
