Report: Warriors in talks with Omri Casspi
The Golden State Warriors have already secured their world-beating core this offseason, and now they're turning their attention to filling out the bench.
Having also been tied to wings like Nick Young and Jamal Crawford, the Warriors are looking to add frontcourt depth, and the team has engaged in talks with free-agent forward Omri Casspi, sources told USA Today's Sam Amick.
Casspi would give the Warriors a solid stretch-four to back up Draymond Green and possibly even soak up some minutes at three, if necessary.
The 29-year-old Israeli missed the majority of last season due to injury, breaking his thumb immediately after being dealt from the Sacramento Kings to the New Orleans Pelicans in the DeMarcus Cousins trade. He had a career year in 2015-16, however, averaging 11.8 points and 5.9 rebounds while shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from 3-point range.
