Beverley used Milos Teodosic as his hotel alias
New Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley will need a new hotel alias this coming season, since he might be rooming next door to the person he was pretending to be.
"I used Milos Teodosic!" Beverley told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski about his previous hotel registry name with the Houston Rockets.
The Clippers reportedly inked European sensation Teodosic to a two-year, $12.3 million contract Thursday, teaming the point guard up with Beverley, who arrived in L.A. last month via the Chris Paul trade.
Teodosic has been highly regarded by many NBA executives the past few years as the best basketball player in the world not playing in the league, and Beverley heaped some more praise on him.
"He might be the best passer in the NBA right now," Beverley told Wojnarowski.
Hotel aliases are a staple among sports and entertainment figures, but few examples can top the 2012-13 New York Knicks, who used fake names such as "John Stamos," "Ace Boogie," "Nucky Thompson," and "Bud Wiser."
