Durant captures ESPY for Best Championship Performance
Kevin Durant earned another award for his stellar play in the NBA Finals.
The Golden State Warriors forward earned the ESPY for Best Championship Performance on Wednesday night.
Durant, who joined the Warriors as a free agent last summer, led the way for the club in the Finals last month, having the best stretch of his career when his team needed him most.
The 28-year-old superstar averaged 35.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.6 blocks, and one steal over the five games while shooting 56 percent from the field and an absurd 47 percent from long range en route to claiming his first championship and Finals MVP trophy. He's just the sixth player in history to score 30-plus points throughout the deciding series.
He helped the Dubs capture their second title in three years while avenging their 2016 Finals loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
KD celebrated the award with teammates Stephen Curry and Zaza Pachulia.
