Report: Irving willing to commit to Spurs, but Cavs want younger players

The San Antonio Spurs are interested in Kyrie Irving, who would be willing to commit there long term if the Cleveland Cavaliers traded him, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The catch, however, is that the Cavs are reportedly no longer willing to accept veterans such as LaMarcus Aldridge and Danny Green in a potential Irving deal.
With the very real danger of LeBron James leaving Cleveland as a free agent again next summer, the Cavs are insisting that any Irving trade bring back an elite young player, according to Wojnarowski. The Boston Celtics, who were already reported to be interested in Irving, could probably offer Cleveland the best package of veteran stars like Isaiah Thomas and youngsters such as Jayson Tatum, but there's no indication any such deal has been discussed.
Regardless of his trade demand, Irving remains under contract with the Cavaliers through the 2018-19 season, when he can opt out.
