Report: LeBron's workout with Bledsoe unrelated to potential Kyrie trade
LeBron James' recent workout in Las Vegas was apparently nothing more than a gathering among friends.
The three-time champion's decision to work out out with Suns guard Eric Bledsoe this week was unrelated to a potential Kyrie Irving trade as the two have shared a close relationship for the past several years, ESPN's Brian Windhorst reports.
While LeBron has been in contact with the Cavaliers' front office regarding Irving, he has not inquired about specific players in prospective trades, sources tell Windhorst. That news comes just hours after reports surfaced indicating LeBron was asking whether No. 4 overall pick Josh Jackson would be available in a potential deal.
The Suns have been linked to Irving over the past week, and are currently listed as one of the betting favorites to land the four-time All-Star.
The King denied multiple reports earlier in the week suggesting he was "eager" for Irving to be traded and that he was "tempted to beat his ass."
Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert said Wednesday he still expects to see Irving in training camp despite recent reports that a trade was "almost inevitable."
