Magic waive Patricio Garino from the infamous whiteboard photo
Former Magic general manager Rob Hennigan is probably rolling in his proverbial grave following Orlando's latest roster move.
The Magic waived Argentinian forward Patricio Garino on Tuesday, according to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel. Garino was tied to an unguaranteed contract and the Magic have now opened up a roster spot.
Garino was mostly an irrelevant figure across his brief stint in the NBA. He missed all seven of his field-goal attempts to finish scoreless in 53 career minutes.
Despite a lack of success on the court, the Argentine did become a symbol of Hennigan's wildly unsuccessful regime as he was the player photographed in the infamous whiteboard gaff.

Hennigan reportedly took the photo on behalf of Garino and his agent as they celebrated the signing last season. Pictured in the background was a whiteboard with the Magic's offseason targets. Not only did the accident make the Magic look wildly sloppy, but it also created awkwardness for Magic forward Aaron Gordon, who was listed as trade bait.
Garino's agent eventually realized the error and took down the picture, but the damage was done. Hennigan tried to claim that it was "not indicative" of the Magic's plans, and in some respects he was right. Those plans never came to fruition since Orlando fired Hennigan a month later.
