Evan Turner: Refs who blow big call should get a 'kick in the ass'
Portland Trail Blazers wing Evan Turner is trumpeting a bold new strategy that would keep NBA officials accountable for their mistakes.
I don't hate refs but I feel like we should be able to get a free kick in the ass if the refs blow a game changing call. Just my opinion..

Now there's an idea!
Of course, there are some logistics that would need to be ironed out before the NBA could instate this suggestion. When does the butt-kicking commence? Is there a stoppage in play directly after the blown call is made? Do they wait for the replay center in Secaucus, N.J., to weigh in, and then start after the final whistle? Does each player on the aggrieved team get a "free kick," or just the player central to the call? There's a lot to unpack here.
As with many comments that start with "I don't rate the refs, but," there's a good chance Turner's wallet is a little lighter in the coming days, but that's just the price of innovation.
