Olynyk: Reports of friction between Isaiah, Celtics are 'preposterous'

Kelly Olynyk isn't here to watch his former teammate get kicked on his way out of Boston.

After the Celtics traded Isaiah Thomas on Tuesday, FS1's Chris Broussard reported - citing "several executives" around the league - that some Celtics players "weren't really that fond of" the All-NBA point guard, owing to his "huge ego" and "Napoleon complex."

Olynyk, who played with Thomas in Boston for two-and-a-half seasons before signing with the Miami Heat this summer, emphatically shot that rumor down.

Nor was Olynyk the only former teammate of Thomas' to respond. Former Celtics big man Jared Sullinger called the report "lies, lies, and more lies," while current Celtics guard Marcus Smart called Thomas one of his "big bros" and thanked him for his tutelage over the past few seasons.
