NBA players react to Mayweather-McGregor tilt

Noah K. Murray / USA TODAY Sports

The NBA world was out in full force to take in the boxing match between the undefeated Floyd Mayweather and mixed martial arts champion Conor McGregor. And while not every player took in the pugilism in person like LeBron James, many still used Twitter to comment on the event.

The general consensus? Pretty, pretty good.

Many players were quick to voice their support for Mayweather, "The Best Ever," who defeated his opponent by technical knockout midway through the 10th round to extend his professional boxing record to 50-0.

Others made sure to show some love to the defeated McGregor as well.

Some objected to how quickly the referee stopped the fight instead of allowing McGregor a chance to regain his composure - or giving Mayweather an opportunity to send the Irishman to the mat.

Others focused on the massive payouts both fighters earned for participating.

And finally, New York Knicks big man Willy Hernangomez and Atlanta Hawks guard Malcolm Delaney suggested some ideas for the next big spectacle in combat sports.
