Kobe challenges Greek Freak to win MVP
Kobe Bryant is challenging the Greek Freak to evolve into the Peak Freak.
On Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers legend began issuing "challenges" to some of today's basketball players on Twitter and Instagram. Some were quite straightforward (he challenged Isaiah Thomas to make the All-NBA First Team) while others were more cryptic.
However, at least one rising player felt he was being overlooked. Milwaukee Bucks point guard power forward indefinable superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo reached out to Bryant to receive a challenge of his own:
It took a couple of days, but the Black Mamba finally spoke Sunday.
If Antetokounmpo can develop some of Bryant's "Mamba Mentality" - especially from beyond the arc, where he shot just 27.2 percent last season - the Bucks' franchise player could definitely find himself in the conversation for the Most Valuable Player Award this coming season.
