McCollum breaks down cold, business side of Melo blockbuster
Blazers guard C.J. McCollum is one of the most media-savvy players in the league today.
In the aftermath of the reported blockbuster trade which will send Knicks star Carmelo Anthony to the Thunder, McCollum was busy putting his bachelor's degree in journalism to good use, breaking down an under-reported aspect of the deal: the departure of OKC fan favorite Enes Kanter.
Kanter released a statement about his love for OKC and the organization ... 4 days later he got traded. Stay woke, it's a business.

Indeed, Kanter did release a short but heartfelt statement earlier in the week, emphasizing the importance of the team staying unified.

Through no fault of his own, the timing of Kanter's post is about as poor as can be, given the team managed to contradict nearly everything he wrote just days later.
One fan tried to take advantage of McCollum's acknowledgement that the NBA is a cold business by trying to lure him away from Portland.

Nice try, Hunter.
