Embiid: 'I'm not playing 82 games'
Joel Embiid is keeping it 100 when it comes to evaluating his current health status.
The Philadelphia 76ers center missed the first two seasons of his career, and took the floor for 31 games in 2017-18, as a result of knee and foot issues. He'll be the first to tell you the chances of him being available every single night this season are slim to none, and slim just left town.
"I'll be honest, I'm not playing 82 games," Embiid said at 76ers Media Day on Monday, according to The Athletic's Derek Bodner.

Embiid averaged 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.5 rejections in 25.4 minutes per game last season, and the 76ers went 13-18 with him in the lineup.
He played his last game on Jan. 27 and underwent surgery for a torn meniscus in his left knee on March 24.
"I feel great. The past couple of weeks, the past couple of months since surgery, I've been working pretty hard on my rehab, especially on my body," said Embiid, adding, "because watching myself play last year, I use my body a lot, so there's a lot of stuff I have to correct."
