Blazers' Turner, courtside reporter stop to help woman involved in car crash
The kind-hearted actions of Portland Trail Blazers forward Evan Turner and Comcast courtside reporter Brooke Olzendam won't soon be forgotten by local resident Diana Black.
This past Monday, Black was involved in a head-on collision on the I-5. Turner and Olzendam both took notice while driving on the freeway.
The two pulled over in their respective vehicles to aid Black, who told KGW.com's Mike Benner she was "mainly confused and dazed" from the crash, adding that her chest hurt from the airbag.
"She was in shock, so I started calling 911," Olzendam said. "Getting her to calm down, stay in her seat, and all of a sudden I turn around, I hear, 'Are you OK?' and I look over and it's my buddy Evan Turner."
Turner then invited Black to sit with him in his Rolls Royce in an effort to help her relax.
When I knew she was ok, I asked her if she knew she was in a Rolls Royce owned by @thekidet. She had ET talk to her Dad, a @trailblazers fan pic.twitter.com/vtjUeW9IRl

"If something like that happened to my mom or brother or sister, anybody, I'd hope someone would do that," added Turner. "It's a tough situation, that's what you're supposed to do."
Black and her father were in attendance for Tuesday's preseason game between the Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns, which Portland lost by two points.

"I'm a huge fan now, especially of Evan Turner," Black said, laughing. "He's an amazing guy, and thank you very much, Evan and Brooke."
