LeBron to remain sidelined Sunday vs. Wizards with ankle injury
LeBron James is in no hurry to get in on the preseason action.
Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue announced Friday evening that James will sit out Sunday against the Washington Wizards, marking his third straight missed contest since rolling his left ankle during training camp.
"He's not ready to play yet," Lue said, as quoted by ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "Still a little sore, not fully recovered yet. He feels better, but not to where they want him to be to be ready to play."
James, 32, has been participating in full practices, so it's likely Cleveland is focused on keeping him fresh for the regular season.
The Cavs are 0-2 in preseason play without their superstar.
James' next opportunity to make his preseason debut will be Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls.
