Tim Duncan helps deliver 400K pounds of food to U.S. Virgin Islands
Tim Duncan is ramping up his hurricane relief efforts.
The retired San Antonio Spurs legend spent the weekend distributing about 400,000 pounds of food to the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands, which is more than double the haul from his first trip, last month. He received help from H-E-B, San Antonio Food Bank, and volunteers.

The St. Croix native has been raising money to bring food and medical supplies to his homeland after it was devastated by Hurricane Irma. Ahead of his second trip, the 41-year-old future Hall of Famer told reporters it'll take months, or even years, to restore normal life to the island. Duncan remains committed to the cause and hopes others will support it as well.

Duncan's U.S. Virgin Island Relief Fund has raised almost $2.6 million to date. He pledged $250,000 initially and said he'd match the first $1 million in donations.
