Watch: Embiid roasts Whiteside, says he 'can't guard him'

Another chapter was written in the budding feud between Joel Embiid and Hassan Whiteside.

Embiid thoroughly dominated Whiteside in their preseason encounter on Friday, with the former drawing three fouls on the latter in the first three minutes. And just to rub some salt in the wound, Embiid taunted Whiteside repeatedly.

"He can't guard me," the 23-year-old can be heard saying as he pointed to Heat big man.

After the three quick fouls, Embiid gestured at the Miami Heat bench, telling them to get Whiteside out of the game.

The rivalry traces its roots to last season when the 76ers' 7-footer called his Heat counterpart "BBQ Chicken" on Instagram. Whiteside returned fire later in the year by ridiculing Embiid for pulling so many social media stunts to garner All-Star votes.
