The Cleveland Cavaliers are at a 15-player roster after waiving center Kendrick Perkins Saturday, as well as guard Isaac Hamilton.
The news comes as no surprise a day after the Cavs traded Richard Jefferson and Kay Felder to the Atlanta Hawks for draft rights. Cleveland needed to get to 15 players before the regular season commences Tuesday.
Cavs bench boss Tyronn Lue offered a coaching job to the 32-year-old Perkins, whose playing career may be over - although he told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski he hopes to play again. The center last suited up in meaningful games for the New Orleans Pelicans in 2015-16.
