Wilkins, 37, makes Pacers roster after 4-year NBA layoff

With a final round of cuts to get to 15 players Saturday, the Indiana Pacers appear to be keeping veteran swingman Damien Wilkins for the season-opening roster.
Wilkins signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Pacers in August. He last appeared in a regular-season NBA game in April 2013, and has spent the last few years playing in places as diverse as the D League, China, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.
Wilkins, who turns 38 in January, has averaged 6.3 points in 563 NBA contests with five teams.
