LaVar Ball is many things, but stupid isn't one of them. He hit the nail on the head after his son Lonzo's much better second NBA regular-season game Friday, in which the Lakers rookie came up an assist short of a triple-double against the Phoenix Suns.
"(Lonzo's) always gonna have a bad rap," LaVar told ESPN. "You know why? Because I'm talking ... about him. Cuz Lonzo's so good you can't touch him."
The senior Ball couldn't resist another dig at Clippers guard Patrick Beverley, whom he slammed after the veteran shut down his son in his NBA debut.
"Tell Patrick Beverley that was his last interview for the year," LaVar said of the two-time All-Defensive team member.
