LaVar after Lakers' OT win over Wizards: 'I told you so'
LaVar Ball called it, and he has no problem rubbing it in.
The father of Lonzo Ball generated plenty of hype around Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards by declaring the Los Angeles Lakers would bounce back.
"Washington coming in here Wednesday, they better beware, because Lonzo ain't losing again," he said, following Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. "Not in the same week!"
Lonzo didn't lose again, as he led the Lakers to a 102-99 overtime victory over the Wizards.
"I told you so. I've seen this story before," LaVar told ESPN's Jeff Goodman postgame.

Lonzo registered six points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists - including the helper on Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's game-winning 3-pointer. Overall, the UCLA product was a plus-13, while his foe John Wall was a minus-14 after vowing to show "no mercy" to the rookie.
Wall praised Lonzo afterward.
"He's a quiet kid who doesn't say too much," the All-NBA point guard said. "He's been dealing with (his dad) his whole life. It doesn't bother him. It's just new to everybody else. He's very mature for his age. He can pass, can score the ball - he just wasn't making shots tonight. We both wanted to play better."
