Lakers' Nance breaks hand in loss to Trail Blazers

Los Angeles Lakers power forward Larry Nance Jr. left Thursday's 113-110 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers with a left hand injury and was diagnosed with a fractured second metacarpal bone, according to Tania Ganguli from the Los Angeles Times. While the team didn't offer a timetable, coach Luke Walton intimated Nance could be out for a while.

The good news for Nance is the injury is to his non-shooting hand.

The 24-year-old was enjoying a strong campaign through seven games, averaging 11.1 points and 7.9 rebounds on 60.4 percent shooting going into Thursday. The injury will likely either move Julius Randle or rookie Kyle Kuzma into L.A.'s starting lineup at the four.
