The NBA All-Star Game is coming back to the Windy City.
Chicago has won the bid to host All-Star Weekend in 2020, sources told ESPN's Nick Friedell. The NBA and the Bulls are expected to make a joint announcement to confirm the news on Friday.
It will be the third time the festivities have been held in Chicago, but the first since 1988 - a year that produced one of the most memorable dunk contests in league history. The first two iterations of All-Star Weekend in the city were held at the old Chicago Stadium. This will be the first at the United Center.
This season's All-Star Weekend is being hosted by Los Angeles, while Charlotte, N.C., - which was initially supposed to host last season's edition - will host in 2019.
