Jokic laughs off 'MVP' chants after erupting for career-high 41 points
Nikola Jokic played the best game of his young career Tuesday, and Denver Nuggets fans celebrated accordingly.
The budding star broke out for a career-best 41 points on 16-of-25 shooting from the field to go along with 12 rebounds, five dimes, two blocks, and two steals, leading the home team to a 112-104 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
When he fouled out late in the fourth quarter, the 22-year-old center received an ovation and even "MVP" chants from the Pepsi Center crowd.
"The Joker," who outscored Brooklyn's entire starting lineup, humbly responded to the praise following the game:

With the victory, Denver is 4-2 at home and 6-5 overall. Jokic and Co. host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.
