Josh Smith's NBA return appears to be over after three games with the New Orleans Pelicans. The team released the veteran forward Friday, sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania - two weeks after signing him under the hardship exception.
The 31-year-old scored two points in his three games for New Orleans. Prior to that, he last suited up in the NBA for the Houston Rockets in 2016.
Smith played for Israeli squad Maccabi Haifa before joining the Pels.
