LeBron gets into scuffle with Kanter after Ntilikina shove
Things are gettin' chippy at the Garden.
New York Knicks point guard Frank Ntilikina shoved LeBron James multiple times after the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar crowded his space early in Monday's contest.
Enes Kanter backed up his rook by getting into James' face and exchanging some words with him. Courtney Lee separated his teammate and the Cavs icon, who were assessed a double-technical foul.
The drama comes after James said New York should've drafted Dennis Smith Jr., which he later clarified was a shot at former Knicks president Phil Jackson, who selected Ntilikina eighth overall instead.
Kanter disagreed with the four-time MVP's take, tweeting: "We love what we got." James then threw shade at Kanter, saying he "always got something to say."
Up 51-38 heading into recess, Ntilikina talked about the team's solidarity.
"We're together," he said. "That's it. We're together, and if a team wants to go at us, we'll fight together."
