Kanter to LeBron: 'I don't care who you are ... We're gonna fight'
Enes Kanter really isn't scared of LeBron James.
The New York Knicks center had some choice words for Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James following Monday's contest.
"I don't care who you are. What do you call yourself? King, Queen, Princess. Whatever you are. We're gonna fight," he said postgame, as quoted by Newsday's Al Iannazzone. "Nobody out there is going to punk us."
Kanter and James both received technical fouls for jawing at each other in the second quarter after Frank Ntilikina pushed off James for invading his space. The Cavs icon had taken a shot at Kanter earlier in the day, saying: "Enes Kanter ... always got something to say. I don't know what's wrong with him."
James got the last laugh, though, as he led Cleveland back from a 23-point hole to win 104-101 at MSG. The 32-year-old fell just short of a triple-double as he finished with 23 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds.
He took the high road when informed of Kanter's jab.
"I'm the King, my wife is the queen, and my daughter is the princess, so we got all those covered," the four-time MVP said.
Asked what happened in the scuffle, he replied:
"Nothing. We got the win."
